A bunch of lentils, barley, some white beans, and some mee combined with spring onions and the last Royco instant mushroom soup package (first ingredient: potato starch, second ingredient: glucose syrup — I don't buy stuff like that anymore).

Absolutely perfect, the equal of anything I used to buy in Acland Street, St. Kilda, twenty-five years ago. Thickly buttered.
