@ouyangx, not really, you can use on-line editor provided by Transifex, that should be good enough for start.

@ouyangx, it's more complicated, as requires Qt SDK to compile it.
So I've compiled it for you:

Once upon a time (i.e. earlier this year) I thought of writing up some elaborate instructions how to do translations for Otter project, comparing the differences of translating on Transifex site to translating in Qt environment, and illustrate it all with pretty pictures. I didn't get around to it and now it's all pointless anyway, because translating has become easier than ever. It goes like this:

1. Register an account at Transifex and find the project files of Otter browser
2. It's a good idea to download the files and load them into Qt Linguist, just to see if this would work better for you.
3. The benefit of working in Qt Linguist is that you can find a way to load the translation into Otter to test your translation as you work on it.
4. If Qt Linguist is too techy for you, you can work on the file on Transifex website too, without downloading. It's a simple interface, but the downside is that you won't see the context of the phrases that you are working on.
5. Otter has now a locale switch under Help menu. You can see what others have done as you complete your own translation. This makes it more helpful and easier than ever.

Happy contributing to the project

@ersi, it could be a good idea to add these instructions on wiki.

Indeed, it would. I would gladly paste them there and elaborate and embellish a little.

However, where is our wiki page? Shouldn't there be a link to our wiki here http://otter-browser.org/ :o

Seriously, I didn't even know there was a wiki page.
