Terrorist OK from America re Google?? Weird

It seems that Google does not object to sellers of Provisional  IRA sweatshirts, etc  as that lot are not listed as a terrorist organisation in the USA.. Kind of mind blowing that matter.

Oh I very well knew you would be on this one and shows the utter hypocrisy you have. You boast about being an American and freedom and all that jazz but support thuggish, despicable and mental midgets. And as a staunch equal supporter of your US corner I can equally say that the hypocrisy readers is that Sinn  Fein is a Marxist leaning crowd of despicable and degrading thugs. Can I also remind the more general brains here of the following.

- In 1940 the former chief of the IRA offered Adolph Hitler their services.
- In Ulster it's murder record is just over 1,800 people. These have included mothers and not just fathers.
- Their MP's refuse to sit in Westminster but claim expenses. Hypocrisy.
- Tony Blair should never have organised that bunch of murderous mental midgets to be allowed in the N Ireland government.

It is below even routine contempt for someone who is a rightist and blabs about waving the stars and stripes  flag of freedom while supporting thuggish extreme left murders. Waving image support for very leftist scum-bags on this forum as well? It ridicules decent US people. If this is tolerated allowing support for illegal terrorist killings then where are the principles of this Forum? It is not about routine discussion this is allowing further support for an evil terrorist encouragement and I have no time for that at all. This forum would not allow terrorist killer groups from elsewhere in the world the chance to blab here so why this one.. If this continues there might be even less contribution from the small lt we are when I muse on my place.

All is fair in love & war.... bombs nor whistling shells don't discriminate between their victims, be they man, woman, or child.

One man's freedom fighter, is another man's radical.......Names are but labels.

A united Ireland is the end desired, so the end justifies the means.

It matters not the type of government they choose...be it Capitalistic Democracy or Leninist Marxism.......The People of a United Ireland will choose, & it will belong to them only.......just as long as they choose it freely, without interference from, or connection to & with, a government of a crusty queen or soon to be king.

I'd say a real freedom fighter would at least try to discriminate rather than shirking off all responsibility in advance. :(

Rubbish from Smiley.

Ireland is only as it is because ot had to join the European Community. It was simply not able to see to things itself. Saying that any means is justifiable for a "United Ireland" is unbelievable and totally ridiculous and even more so saying that any means to get that is then okay? Murderous scumbags who murder people to get that? Small wonder then for the Smiley mindset that Ireland deleted claiming Ulster from their Constitution and the majority in N> Ireland wish to remain with London. What a weird intelligence that someone from a country that boasts about their values (duh), democracy and the rule of law, blah, blah is supporting Marxist inclined murderous gits. As I have stated the irish Republic is as it is now due to the EU financing and we too loaned the Republic seven million as well. The majority of people in the South are not murderers supporters and an educated people and may i remind everyone that Smiley's far leftist thugs get bags of money from fund-raising across the pond.

So having dropped that issue from the Constitution after a referendum years ago Ireland is NOT trying to take the North over and respects what the people there want. Smiley therefore is a terrorist supporter yet does not follow the very leftist style of the SF politics nor would want it in nutjobland. So I respect the existence of the Republic of Ireland and we have a very positive and close association with them BUT they do not want to Smileys. The SF has no chance of ever forming a Dublin government  and trying to misuse common sense and hard political facts that Smiley is a terrorist supporter is disgusting. I respect the rights of Dublin but he keeps being stupid by disrespecting our system and Head of State, etc. Being two faced is one thing but a murdering supporter for something that cannot win democratically is the pits.

[glow=green,2,300]Twenty years of Sinn Féin fundraising[/glow]

Quote
Donors

Top of the list of donors, either individual or corporate, is Chuck Feeney, the Irish- American businessman and philanthropist who gave away, to charitable, social and educational causes, most of the multibillion dollar fortune made on duty-free shopping.

You will not find Chuck Feeney at the Sheraton. His commitment to Friends of Sinn Féin had a specific purpose: to finance the opening of an office in Washington DC to lead the lobbying effort for the party and the Northern Irish peace process. The money came through multiple instalments over a period of three years in the mid-1990s to fund the running of the office and is long spent.

Mr Feeney’s money came “at a crucial time” for the organisation as Friends of Sinn Féin established itself, said Mr Cullen. “Chuck’s donation to us was understood from the very beginning to be of a limited term and of a limited amount and that was met. It was very much appreciated,” he said.

Among the people working for Sinn Féin in the US is the party’s American representative Rita O’Hare. Ms O’Hare is the party’s main representative and lobbyist in the US and regularly meets members of Congress and other senior public figures to press the party’s case on various issues.

The other major source of funds for the party’s US wing, the American labour movement, has donated more than $1 million over Friends of Sinn Féin’s 20-year history. The second largest single donor behind Mr Feeney is one of the biggest American trade unions, the Laborers’ International Union of North America, various chapters of which have donated a total of $221,141 over the years.

The Midwest Region Laborers’ Political League, based in Illinois, one of the strongest regions for trade union support in the country and home to one of the largest Irish-American communities around the Chicago area, is fourth on the list of big donors, giving the party a total of $135,000.

The ties with US trade unions date back to George Meany, the longtime chief of the powerful AFL-CIO, the country’s biggest union, who was of Irish descent.

Many Irish emigrants, including republicans and former IRA men, were involved in the emergence of the American trade union movement. Mike Quill, a native of Kilgarvan, Co Kerry, and a member of the anti-Treaty IRA in the Civil War, emigrated to the US in 1926 and helped establish the Transport Workers Union of America, a union of New York City subway workers, in 1934.

Irish-American financial support is nothing new in the history of Irish nationalism. The US has been a major source of funding for Irish nationalism since the 19th century and in more recent times, the republican movement. Éamon de Valera, who spent most of the War of Independence fundraising in the US, raised about $5 million on his tour, an extraordinary sum in 1920s America.

Existing networks

“They are tapping into a lot of pre-existing networks but also trying to create new ones, and that has always been the republican approach right up to the present,” said Diarmaid Ferriter, professor of modern Irish history at UCD. “Obviously it is a hell of a lot more upfront an endeavour because of the evolution of Sinn Féin, its growing presence in the Republic and the end of the IRA campaign.”

Prof Ferriter said it has always been “very fashionable” for Irish-Americans and Irish-American groups to lend money to “the cause”.

“You can sell a relatively unsophisticated message when you are abroad about what the Irish cause is,” he said.

The 1994 IRA ceasefire created an opportunity for Sinn Féin to transform lucrative US fundraising opportunities from the cash boxes in the Irish pubs raising money for Irish Northern Aid Committee, or Noraid, in legal terms the IRA’s US agent, to dinners in upmarket hotels for Friends of Sinn Féin. “With that there was also a recognition that if you are going to pursue that route [the political route], you need to alter your fundraising. It could no longer be just some very well-meaning people passing the hat in a Bronx bar,” said Mr Cullen. “So what we recognised was that there has to be a new fundraising campaign that would be completely transparent, that would reach a much broader audience than some construction workers in that Bronx bar, and not to demean that at any time.”

Noraid, which began sending money back to republicans and the dependants of IRA political prisoners shortly after the start of the Troubles, raised almost $3.6 million over a 19-year period to 1990, according to its filings with the US department of justice.

The biggest fundraising periods for Noraid were during the most violent years of the Troubles – $312,700 raised in 1972 after the Bloody Sunday killings in Derry; $250,510 in 1981 at the time of the H-Block hunger strikes; and $243,963 in 1988 and early 1989 after the March 1988 killing of three IRA members in Gibraltar that sparked one of the darkest periods in Northern Ireland.

Another violent event stopped Friends of Sinn Féin’s fundraising for a time. The ending of the ceasefire with the IRA bombing of Canary Wharf in 1996 led the group to suspend fundraising activities abruptly and the organisation talking to the US department of justice about the situation in Northern Ireland and giving assurances about Friends of Sinn Féin’s intentions and purpose. Two men, Inan Bashir and John Jeffries, who were working in a small newsagent’s shop, died when the IRA exploded a 500kg bomb. Thirty-nine people were also injured, which led to private warnings from top financiers that their place in the City of London would be jeopardised if bombings continued.

“When we had a bump on the road, like Canary Wharf, we were on the phone to them immediately,” said Mr Cullen.

Since then, the party has developed a strong grassroots organisation in the US as a result of years of fundraising, stealing a march over the establishment Irish parties. “Nobody has come close,” said prominent Irish-American lawyer Brian O’Dwyer. “Sinn Féin has a political organisation that is unparalleled. Their political apparatus is better than anything I have seen on either side of the Atlantic.” He noted the party’s advanced use of social media to deliver the party’s message and referred to a 2014 trip by US congressman John Lewis to Northern Ireland where within minutes of a meeting with Gerry Adams a photograph of the two politicians appeared on the party’s official website with details of the meeting.

“They have tremendous discipline for getting their message across and tremendous use of technology – better than the Democrats,” said Mr O’Dwyer.

For long periods, Irish-Americans felt a sense of antipathy from Irish governments towards their community because of their support of the Irish republican movement during the 1970s and 1980s, he said.

“Historically, the Irish government up until recently had been an enemy of Irish- America,” he said, noting how senior members of Irish-American community who supported Sinn Féin never set foot in the Irish consulate in New York for years. That started to change when the Clinton administration dealt with Irish-America in the early stages of the Northern Irish peace process. Mr O’Dwyer said the Irish-American community in New York has since embraced Mr Adams and Sinn Féin because the peace process was seen as the first time that Irish-America had an influence on American foreign policy in pushing for Mr Adams to receive that all-important visa to visit the US in 1994. The support of prominent Irish-Americans was seen as being crucial to sowing the seeds of peace.

“People like myself are enormously proud of what we have done and Gerry Adams is a symbol of that,” said Mr O’Dwyer.

Young emigrants

In addition to regular contributions from generations of descendants of Irish emigrants, according to Mr Cullen Friends of Sinn Féin has seen a trend of growing support from recently arrived emigrants, particularly young middle-class people, who have leaned towards Sinn Féin more so than they would have at home because of their unhappiness at having to emigrate and their frustration with the policies of economic austerity.

“Some of these people that I have spoken to would not be Sinn Féin-inclined but they are angry over the disenfranchisement,” he said.

He sees Friends of Sinn Féin being active in the US in marking the centenary of the 1916 Rising next year, a time which no doubt will create more fundraising opportunities for the political party.

“We are definitely going to give voice recognising the sacrifices of the men and women who lost everything in the Rising because the benefits that we have today are their sacrifices so we will make sure that they are acknowledged and remembered,” he said.

Friends of Sinn Féin is getting stronger & stronger in America, raising more money from sympathetic American donors for it's causes than ever in the past.

Even the more radical elements in Northern Ireland (RIRA, CIRA, & frustrated ex-PIRA) are seeing a massive influx of new funding from traditional Irish-American sympathizers, reigniting the call for a United Ireland, over, above, & beyond the present fragile political peace process.

Forbes estimates that The Real Irish Republican Army alone turns over more than $50 million per year from US donors & others.

The modern day Irish Republic is no great fan of your lot of evil murderous gits. Instead of funding scumbags you would be instead helping out the 40 plus million Yanks on food stamps  instead living on out of date mentalities on things across the Irish Sea. This country loaned the Republic of Ireland billions and there is greater respect in practicality between that country and mine than your mindset. Our Head of State was warmly invited and welcomes because we are living in modern times not in the out-of-date and troll mentalities such as yourself boy.

You cannot top the list in southern Ireland and have no chance. Says a lot for Americans that waffle on about high principles, democracy and all such things whilst supporting a murderous bunch of prehistoric mental terrorist rats.

It would behoove Scotland and the rest of the U.K. to stop the NHS from becoming what we currently have, because that is what Cameron and May hav subtly been moving the NHS towards.

Also, I decline to read a lecture from someone whose country is so heavily depend on food banks that it resembles a failed 3rd world country.

No, Cameron and May were not moving the NHS to your idea of health (US health is not that high up a recent scale published for all the private nonsense). We have some private hospitals but at least our population does not to have big pockets full of cash to get health unlike you lot. Twice on television I have watched a team of US doctors and dentists travelling round the US putting up marquees and offering free health care to the less well off and they get  massive queues. With tens of millions of poor you really have a conceited idea of an opinion an suggesting we are going to do what you lot do.  Even routine jags for Flue are free to all senior citizens an d our state health system is not going private so you do talk a load of rubbish. Before 1948 we were as limited as a great many in the ex-colonies but now even with the pressures on it due to rising immigration populations, etc we can stil provide more ease on health than over the pond. I got operations on both eyes and did not cost me a penny. I bet your pals over there who are dishing out big sums to the Irish scumbag terrorists are cumfy off in private health in the good ole US of A. If you had a NHS it would maybe help the 40 plus million poor. No ch  ance"

Twice on a television programme here I have heard the same thing which unfortunately has a strong degree of truth about it. The item indicated that Americans have killed more of each other than in wars they have been in. Really head shaking and makes one almost gasp. Every time there is a mass killing gun sales go up so what damn solution is that??  And harping back to that amendment in a Constitution and so on. The right to carry guns should have been done away with away back say in the 19th century when the developing country should have been growing up instead of living in the past when things were different. Buying everything from a pistol to machine guns is utterly absurd and using a Constitution from centuries ago as an excuse. With mass shootings in their hundreds of a list it shows a very deep lack of mentally growing up and being sensible individually or nationally. Not even one weapon per person but often a selection of them.

Oh and it won't go away because it is so deep rooted and continuous making people who live there seem "duh" or just brain washed that the place is awash with weaponry and continued group killings. I feel sorry for friends of mine who live over there but nationally makes the country look nutjob and lacking brain-wise and what a damnable immature thinking.  :irked:

Does our government try to kill us? Yeah, maybe. But they know that -in the long run- they can't.
Yours does by NIH. How do you fight that? :) And immigration… You decided long ago to surrender, Howie! Shame on you.

We severed our ties to the Crown, for good reason. We'd still be free. And secure the same right for our posterity.
Your answer to that is…? What?

Ulster will remain in gt Britain and as I earlier pointed out the n
majority of people in the south of Ireland over the Border do NOT want a Sinn  Fein government. may I also remind readers that the Irish in the Republic voted to drop a claim on the 6 Counties of ulster so shows that SmileFaze is yakking about nonsense. The British Government also recently gave a loan of 7 billion to the republic as well. His stance is out of date and in N. Ireland it was the SF bunch of neo-Marxists who helped kick out the shared Belfast Government on a flimsy reason.  So farcical that Smiley a staunch American Presidential party man (and they are so deeply corporate) is supporting Marxists. Dear, oh dear. When the previous SF Leader died on health matters I had no reason to be concerned as he was a murderous terrorist git.
