Google buys Quest for Word Lens translation
Does anyone know the quality of this translation machine? Will Google translation on the web now begin to resemble real translation?

After months of investigation, law enforcement officials in the U.S., Europe and Asia are cracking down on a hacking network employing a computer program known as “Blackshades,” which can be used as malware to control the computers of unwitting people

Indeed the right thread. I wonder how it's going for j7n.

Finland's sources say the police there also struck. 90 computers captured from people http://www.itviikko.fi/uutiset/2014/05/19/poliisi-iski-voimalla-blackshades-konnia-vastaan--myos-suomessa/20147062/7

I assume something like this, yes, but my assumptions are harmless. If police suspects, that's not a laughing matter any more.

A number of Australians woke in the middle of the night to alarms blaring from their iOS device or Apple computer to find a message that read, “Device hacked by Oleg Pliss. For unlock device …” Upon clicking, the users saw the hacker's demand for a ransom, ranging from $50 to $100, according to different users.

It occurs to me that because it's an iPhone, you can't pull out the battery.

Everything about iPhone must seem oh so convenient and smooth for people. That's why it gets bought. But I seriously don't see what's the attraction. Any other phone is actually better in every aspect I can think of. iThingies are not popular in Estonia - expensive, awkward, few options, no freemium. Find a safer phone for your m-i-l.
