We have a winner, and a nachspiel...

Here, while the site is up.

And barely at that, had they waited another 30 seconds I would have posted.

The new forum is, at last refresh, still 403 Forbidden.

Anyway, I invite to nachspiel, the first  is on me. (over there you actually get one...)

Congratulations, Jax, you managed the past post apparently.

So the D&D stopped at about 10 am GMT, which would be the start of the 26th Feb in Alaska. So whoever done it was pretty cool.

Cheers to you.

Last post linking to your thread, had to find an appropriate one with a sufficiently morbid theme. The alternative candidate was whether dead bodies should be burned, buried, or eaten by wild animals.

Anyway, inviting to nachspiel, as I will elsewhere, since there are many successor sites, including the upcoming official. Last chance to use My Opera to its original purpose.

Yes - I noticed that link - I do morbid.

Speaking of which I thought Krake had a nice accompaniment.

It's as if Krake knew he was truly the last. :)

I didn't look at the time at the time, but I think it was somewhere between 11:15 and 11:19 CET (when ensbb3 made the first post post).

Well, all good things must come to an end. But with the end of MyOpera, so my username is reborn....yay!

Whether I will get an awful lot of time to contribute is another matter. But it's nice to know that so many familiar faces have found a corner of the web to congregate.

I guess it's now safe for me to disclose the nature of my Opera banning. In case anyone cares. Which you probably don't. But still. The MyOpera blogs racked up high pageranks with Google which made them attractive to link spammers. I sold out. But in the 2 years before being caught by a Mod and given the boot, I raked in about US $20,000 whoring my blog and selling links to people selling 'Rolex' watches, vaginal rejuvenation surgery and other ethically dubious enterprises. So....it was kinda worth it. Especially considering how far $20k stretched in Mexico. :)

I'm still rather sad to see the old DandD go under though. Surely adding it onto their new forums wouldn't have been too much expense or hard work.

I wonder if this is what they meant when they once sent me an e-mail about monetizing small personal blogs.

Heh, so all is good then. Old name back, clean slate, new site, new chances to sell out...

So, how is the project adding blogs to this web site going?

I don't know if it is worth it. Before we know it somebody could be selling us out...

(Seriously I don't think it is worth it. In a word: spam. Besides I wouldn't be using this site if I wanted to have a blog. Originally I didn't plan to use Vivaldi either, but now I might for a low-volume one.)

The start and end to every story is the same. But what comes in between you have yourself to blame.

Hey, don't put the guy down.

He used MyOPERA for what he could.....no harm, no foul.

We could all use some enlightenment into free-market entrepreneurial capitalism.

I raise my glass to the spirit of self-determination & empowerment through constructive imagination

Why, so we don't all end up suckin' at government's hind tit ---- leave that for the weak, the helplessly disgruntled, & the sleazy, every day run of the mill, socialist & communist.

And he had the balls to own up to what he did. I didn't think you could make even close to that much off Myopera O_o

I don't think it would be financially worthwhile to spam here. This is just a small community of former myopera users. If a vaginal reconstruction surgeon did pay somebody to spam here, I think I would laugh instead of getting mad.

We've had sign-ups by "surgeons" and "doctors" from Florida to Essex. I've been quietly deleting them, and they seem to have given up.

Sorry I can't. I'm not interested in such kind of "enlightenment into free-market entrepreneurial capitalism"  ::)
