Browsing devices

Well, I like doing things from the basics, so now I humbly present this thread, which can be used to discuss our VERY HARDware in general:)

Supercomputers aren't used to browse the Internet. :P

Are you sure? Probably not generally, but-- I can imagine some geek, late at night when he thinks no one is going to notice, using a Cray supercomputer-- to download porn.

I use a laptop here, trying to stay honest because (1) my faith demands it and (2) I'm not exactly living alone, and if I want to keep living here it's a good idea NOT to get caught doing stupid stuff like downloading porn.

I may have to upgrade my phone, the present one isn't capable of much more than basic stuff-- but in my industry many companies are requesting that their drivers have Android-equipped phones. Of course, and Android is fully Internet capable.

According to several tests involving a watermelon and a large hammer, it would be really bad!

Meh, downloading porn is boring if you can watch the neighbor's daughter live in action.  8)

A Cray would be a bit awkward, for lack of graphics hardware ( assuming you mean early Crays using proprietary vector processors as opposed to later ones based on more mainstream hardware ). Something like an SGI Onyx on the other hand... :right:

Downloads don't need graphics.
