Any reason why you haven't installed SP3?
That could be the problem.

@Alex31, no idea about flash, but note that by default it's loaded on demand only (you have to either click plugin icon in address field or the placeholders).

YouTube is not working on Windows XP now at all, even with Weekly #187.
I'm just getting a message that the browser doesn't recognise any of the video formats available.
It's no longer falling back to the Flash Player either.

Hi
The way to have youtube in flash on otter xp 187 is to go through a youtube clone.
Www.tonvid.com the website of "smtube" and flash works in full screen ... :worried:

@DaveH, you can try disabling multimedia in about:config, you need to disable QtWebKitBackend/EnableMedia, maybe that will help.
Note that it should be possible to bring all required codecs but it requires preparing special configuration to make it legal (H264...).

Changing that setting removes the error message and the HTML5 video controls, leaving just a black rectangle.
I tried https://www.youtube.com/v/NNY73_YcZVY again, and this time it worked. It didn't play automatically, but on clicking the (huge) white play arrow symbol, the video did play in full screen, using the Flash Player.
Not ideal though, it needs to work on the normal YouTube pages with the normal links!

@DaveH, you can also try mixing lib folder from otter-browser-xp2.zip with weekly, that should produce more complete multimedia support (just remember to re-enable that option).

Thanks Emdek, that worked!

The videos are now playing using HTML5 on the normal YouTube pages.
Will I have to do that substitution every time I update the weekly?
Cheers, Dave.

@DaveH, yeah, for now, once I'll find some time to create proper configuration using OpenH264 it won't be needed.

@Emdek
I just updated to weekly 188, and the YouTube videos are still working!

Did you do the update you mentioned?
Cheers, Dave.

@DaveH, not yet, but if you unpacked it over old files then it could explain that (in case of HTML5 multimedia).

Yes, since I've had to use the ZIP package I just unzip the files and then cut and paste them over to the Otter folder, where they overwrite any existing versions with the same name of course. I guess the files in the "Lib" folder that I copied from the XP SP2 package aren't being replaced as they don't exist at all in the new packages. That's good of course!

How do you do?

I installed weekly191 and used in little time, and I will report some bugs.

The buttons on tool bar what located by me, are displayed by the language I chose.
But once click them, and they turn to english.

1 more, the mouse gesture seems disable.
I often use locker gestures, and I used it to w191 but gesture had no responce.
Should I set them in config menu?

I don't know that the troubles will happen between w174 to w190.

Thanks to read.

@nanercy, see known issues, default settings were missing in weekly 191, they will be back in 192.
What buttons exactly and which language? I'll try to reproduce that.

I checked again the trouble, after wrote to here.
I clicked buttons, then they turned to english, and turned to japanese again when I clicked other places in browser window.

@Alex31, works fine here, Flash 26 (NPAPI variant) under Windows XP SP3.

@DaveH, locally I have build that can handle all popular codecs, including WebM and MP4, but I'll have to disable h264 support before publishing due to legal reasons...

Does any version of Otter for XP Pro have the h264 support working, or are all disabled? I ask because I am looking for a browser that can deal with h264 (already have three browsers that use Flash).
