Judging by some of the historical Popes he would fit in easily.

“I think apologizing’s a great thing, but you have to be wrong. I will absolutely apologize, sometime in the hopefully distant future, if I’m ever wrong.”
The Donald
Not so oddly, my father said much the same thing to me, when I was a lad… 'Tis the sort of bluster one reels off to the very young:
Does that tell you something about Trump's view of "the voters"? :)

Sadly, I don't think he 'thinks' about voters.
I suspect you're right: But he seems to be an ego-maniac… So, what he thinks about is always obvious.
Let's see what the folks in the deep South think of his brand of theater. (They'll know what Cruz meant by "New York values"… :) )

Well it says something very direct about what is wrong over there that such ego trip stuff can be so widely loved. Well a break from Popes I suppose.  :o

He's just as widely reviled,if not more so. Even among today's nutty GOP primary voters, his Real Clear Politics average is only 29.5 percent and most Democrats deplore him. But I did read somewhere that he admitted to saying outrageous things if he it's it's getting boring (can't find it right now and dinner is about to burn :p )So is he merely bring the greatest troll of all time?

Pope Francis’ Autobiography, Long in the Making, Arrives in Bookstores

“Hope: The Autobiography,” by Pope Francis — a 320-page compendium of the pope’s memories and musings on the major social and political issues of our times, including climate change, poverty, immigration, arms control and war — is billed by its English-language publisher, Random House, as an “historic publication” and “the first memoir to be published by a Pope.”

That is not technically true. That honor belongs to Pope Pius II’s 15th Century chronicles, “The Commentaries,” a 13-book account of his life that is considered a seminal text in Renaissance humanism.

Francis is also not the first pope to share his life story. As a cardinal, Joseph Ratzinger wrote an autobiography which was published in 1997, eight years before he became Pope Benedict XVI, and both he and his predecessor, John Paul II, coauthored books with journalists that were personal reflections and not official papal documents.
Not the first memoir by a pope? Not the first pope to share his life story? Omg what a controversy! How intriguing!

You heard it here first, maybe.

The president of Finland to the one side of Donald and Melania, the president of Estonia to the other. What to make of this? Probably that nobody else wants to be anywhere near that couple.

(Well, the actual reason is the alphabetic order of the countries in French, still the international language of diplomatic decorum: Estonie, États-Unis, Finlande, France. Macron is just outside of the picture next to the president of Finland.)
