Okay, found it. Also made it less annoying for me.

SMF is not a simple forum engine, despite his name, just like all countries named as democratic, are not democratic by fact, DPRK or DRC for example.

True. And Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is not really simple either.

You can do it with bbCode like this:

Code: [Select]
[img alt=Mac thing]http://www.everymac.com/images/cpu_pictures/apple_imac.jpg[/img]

Mac thing

Or you can just use regular HTML:

Code: [Select]
<img src="http://www.everymac.com/images/cpu_pictures/apple_imac.jpg" alt="Mac thing">

<img src="http://www.everymac.com/images/cpu_pictures/apple_imac.jpg" alt="Mac thing">

Was the Quote button changed at some point? I think it earlier took to the Reply-like interface. Now it takes to the Quickquote box. I liked the Reply better.

There might be a profile setting that affects it, but in your case I think it's probably more likely to depend on whether or not Javascript is enabled. You can always use "preview" to enter the full reply page.

Is that an accepted syntax? It'll work with just the link. Alternatively you could always just stick it inside or outside the quote as a link.

The "alternatively" is what I have done until now. The problem with it is that it looks pas chique.

I tried a few syntaxes, aiming to produce the URL as the embedded link and the name as the link text. This would be chique. But evidently not working, and from what you are saying, looks like not intended to work either.

bla

This is also no cool. The best would be the name as the link text and the URL embedded.

Frenzie, do you have access to something similar to what existed at the Opera Blogs that we could see a map of the world with the people's location that were visiting one's blog? It was google something if I'm not mistaked.
A matter of attitude.

It'd probably just say that most "visitors" are from Russia or Ukraine. The server ought to be storing some stats somewhere, but there's no Google tracking or anything of the sort.

Russians? That's strange. Or maybe not.
A matter of attitude.

The vast majority of attempted spam nonsense seems to originate from Ukraine and Russia, that's all.

Maybe if you ignore all of the "Russians" and "Ukrainians" you'd get a reasonable indication? Who knows. :P
