 Thanks for your work! But what about QtWebEngine? Is it ready to use? If not, what will you do? Will you release stable version with this version of engine or it needs to wait for Qt 5.7 or QtGecko for example?
P.S Sorry if i have too many questions. :-)

@Epic

This https://dndsanctuary.eu/index.php?topic=357.msg29299#msg29299

The differences now:

- the folder in otter profile is blocking instead of "adblock"
- the file name in profile is contentBlocking.ini instead of "adblock.ini"
- the formatting inside the ini file is different

Hopefully you can figure it out :)

Thanks for the information! Otter browser is better with every new release! While others shows ads even in browsers (like in the lastest Firefox release), Otter helps to block it. Now we have the very good free software web browser. So i'm waiting for the first stable version.
P.S I can uderstand it but it would be better to create the graphical tool for adblocking.

I found that there's a special adblock list that specialises on EU cookie popups/popins https://raw.githubusercontent.com/liamja/Prebake/master/obtrusive.txt

@timur
Do you know how to subscribe to adblock lists? I have described the procedure on these forums earlier, but it's a bit outdated now.

Does it mean that Otter has adblock by default and i can use it with special adblock lists like in adblockplus? If so it is great!
Do you mean this: https://dndsanctuary.eu/index.php?topic=469.0
P.S Finally i use a nickname after so little time. :-)

What do i need? I need adblockplus support (or other advertisement blocking tool ). Also it would be very good to add turbo mode support like in Opera (I know that it will be technically hard).

Otter Browser Forum / Re: Otter on VK.com (ВКонтакте)

Looks like people at Operafan.net don't want us to know what they think about Otter. They have hidden the thread :D

Operafan.net is not working for a month. I think the site is closed. But there are other sites where you can talk about Otter browser: https://vivaldi.net/en-US/  http://otter.su/  http://forum.ru-board.com/topic.cgi?forum=5&topic=46573 and of course this forum.

I guess that we should consider to loosen our policy to avoid copy and paste from similar projects (with compatible licences of course) as they usually don't hesitate much to "get inspired" by our solutions (it's open source, they have right to do that).

GPL 3+ (or any later version) is a very good license it defends program against patent discrimination, it is compatible with apache license 2.0 and GPL 2 + (Means "or any later version" only). You can also relicense your software in GPL 4 + when it will be released (Copyleft is a very good) and more.

I'm not sure but i think you can relicense MIT and BSD licensed programs (and other permissive free software licence software).

"Yoda's aphorism (“There is no ‘try’”) sounds neat, but it doesn't work for me. I have done most of my work while anxious about whether I could do the job, and unsure that it would be enough to achieve the goal if I did. But I tried anyway, because there was no one but me between the enemy and my city. Surprising myself, I have sometimes succeeded."

(It is about how hard is sometimes to develop free software)

Good news!  The browser has more and more features in new releases Otter browser is more opera 12 than opera blink. Keep this work alive!
P.S When stable version will be released?

Otter Browser Forum / Re: Questions to the Developer

I dont know i was a little time user of the opera 12. (My main browser is opera (blink)But i like this feature.
http://blogs.opera.com/news/2014/11/image-preview-for-bookmarks-in-opera/

Looks like Speeddial-like previews migrated into Bookmarks manager. Similar to previews option in fancier file managers. Is that correct?

For me personally previews in Speeddial are perfectly sufficient. Big images over the entire Bookmarks manager are hard to sort and scroll.

Such big previews make sense only for a limited set of most-used bookmarks, like in Speeddial. Low priority elsewhere.

Yes i mean it for Speeddial. I know that it is not the best feature but it is good as an option that you can use i  don't mean something like "you need to create it now" I know it is a hard work. About file managers yes some file manager has this features even windows explorer has it as an option :-)
