DnD Central / Re: Anthropogenic Global Warming

A ton of rye is a whole different thing than the words "ton of rye" written on paper, but financial markets only deal in words on paper. Even worse, they deal in digits in computers...

Even worst, not even anymore "words wriiten on paper" but a casino game about how much those words will "value" a year from now.
you revert to Papal Authority? (Or something as similarly silly.) Why?

Because I thought that youl'd be able at least to understand when the Pope adresses the populace. My fault, you're even bellow that.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying the Pope bellows?

Why do you think certain documents were called "Papal Bulls"???

I always thought it was a sort of abbreviation.
Sometimes they hit and sometimes they didn't.

DnD Central / Re: Europe's Migrant Crisis
From rj
"As the indigenous population bay producing is low it would not take anyone much intelligence (I include Illinois in passing) much brain power to work out where the growth is from."
Does this sentence mean ANYTHING to ANYBODY?

DnD Central / Re: The Decline of Religion in Europe

Here we do not have cities that go bankrupt in that farce land across the ocean.

But you do have people who can't write a simple declarative sentence.

How could you have cities in the U.S.? That's something like what you said. Think about it.

Did you note that the pond has become an ocean?
Is "sign" an alternate spelling for "sing"?

Can you, as a teacher, imagine the relief experienced by rj's teacher when he heard that rj had decided not to finish primary school?

The Lounge / Re: True or false?
False. The lady who runs the local postoffice  does it for us. Free-range, of course. Some of the hens have names.
You successfully grow various herbs.

The Lounge / Re: True or false?
False. It was in fact an emu, but it WAS aggressive.
You have been chased by an aggressive goat.

The Lounge / Re: True or false?
True, in a sense. His doorbell remote sometimes makes our doorbell ring.
You are on good terms with your neighbours.

The Lounge / Re: True or false?
True. Sort of.
A travelling circus passed through our little town in the early nineteen forties, and something frightened one of the elephants and it ran up our side street, trumpeting loudly. It wasn't really chasing me, but I thought it was and I outran it and hid under a house.
You have been chased by an unfriendly animal.

The Lounge / Re: What have you just bought?
Remote controls for the garage roller doors. The company (one-man) that installed the doors a few years ago has changed hands. The previous owner is now making a good living as an "Elvis Impersonator".
I thought you should know.

True. And the Rainbow Lorikeets, and the Magpies, and the Cockatoos, and the Crimson Rosellas, and the Butcher Birds, and the King Parrots, and the Currawongs, and the Satin Bower Birds, et al.
You have had a pet bird.
