No 1080p and higher resolutions on YouTube 2017-01-19, 13:37:56 HTML5 video and fullscreen work fine in latest beta, but only in 720p, unfortunately. No 1080p and higher resolutions on YouTube. In contrary to, Opera 12.18 supports only 360p, but with Savefrom.net extension I can download 1080p and AAC separately, then successfully watch them via MPC-HC, so the problem is not in video itself. Any thoughts? Is this absence of codec like in Opera/Presto, or issue of video/audio separation on YouTube?
Re: No 1080p and higher resolutions on YouTube Reply #1 – 2017-01-19, 13:42:25 Media Foundation multimedia backend of QtWebKit doesn't support MSE yet, which is required to get 1080 on YouTube. We will have to wait until it gets implemented. 1 Likes
Re: No 1080p and higher resolutions on YouTube Reply #2 – 2017-03-11, 23:25:27 Other issue that annoying: HTML5 player in Otter resets volume level on every start, I have to move volume slider forward/back to restore comfort volume on each track/video.
Re: No 1080p and higher resolutions on YouTube Reply #3 – 2017-03-12, 08:28:35 @Freeman, interesting, perhaps it depends on multimedia backend. Can you describe how exactly changes that value (custom vs value on start)?

Reset value sounds like 100% volume, e. g. slider keeps my custom value, but actual volume level is 100%. I usually set ~50%. When I slightly drag slider, volume level is highly decreasing, because my volume setting is applying, I think.
Re: No 1080p and higher resolutions on YouTube Reply #5 – 2017-03-13, 05:58:20 @Freeman, OK.I've talked with devs and it's apparently missing feature in QtWebKit.
