1. sorry to bother you, but why doesn't password manager is the main goal? Why isn't progressing anywhere?
Nice browser though, nearly the best, one of my favourite, but this lacking feature is annoying to me.

EDIT: I found the solution. Created keyboard shortcut to Custom search... and it works now.

Password manager.
I've been waiting so long for this.
I think this is the most useful and necessary feature.
There are many websites which I can't use fully without login, but I can't remember the passwords, and writing/copying them is tiresome.
When will be added?

flash and javascript are out of frame when I change the size of the page. Ex.: youtube - on videos i can't seek on timeline, just pause, start with one click and fullscreen with doubleclick are the only possibilities.
Such way I can't use this site properly:

I enlarged that page to 120%. That size I usually use, because of my tiny screen.
I can't click on PDF  to download it, because on modified size the flash content is out of frame.
Possible solution I suggest:
1. In Website Preferences implement Custom site size preference, different size for each page. So I can use Youtube and flash based sites on 100%, others on 120% or else.
2. Your idea
I tried after updating the flash player; on Win7, but the problem remains the same.
This needs to be fixed.

Otter doesn't remember "Maximum size of item" on tab bar, navigation bar after restart. Always returns to "No limit".
Any solution?
Anyway, the progress is great, I'd like to thank for the added features.

Yes, it's not portable. But I know the solution for that, I shared here.

Packed in .7z doesn't mean it's portable.  It means that it's packed in smallest possible size to download it faster if you have slow internet connection. Or download in zip if you don't have 7zip installed. Both have the same content.

This is not my invention.
I found a very useful comment here, about how to make the software portable. I don't know why but the original poster's comment was deleted (maybe he deleted his own comment) so I post the script again.
This is the script:

set QT_PLUGIN_PATH=%~dp0
start otter-browser --portable


Copy in a text file, change the .txt extension to .bat, put in the browser's folder and run the file. Otter will push through and creates two folder in his "den": profile and cache. Anytime you want to use in portable mode, run the .bat file.

My suggestion is that give priority to adblock in loading webpages. This is recommended because the ads consumes lots of ram and cpu.
Now Otter loads all elements and secondly blocks the ads as I observed - distinctly from other browsers, even Opera.

Emdek, it just not right. Otter is not compatible with duckduckgo. Or duckduckgo with Otter. After when I click on a search result, doesn't redirects me, shows just a blank page (with default setting). Choosing another user agent is a must. But then crashes. Earlier didn't appeared that problem - worked flawlessly with an user agent which was obligatory. Maybe the ddg team changed the scripts. What is the solution?

Okay, sorry, I forgot this. That was the problem.
I edited the override.ini file, deleted, the user agent line and problem solved.

But I don't understand why not working with firefox or chrome user agent? It is not important just a question.
