Otter localization procedure

Please briefly describe localization procedure using Transifex:

  • How often localization updates from Transifex, on every build or not?

  • What rights can I have to edit translated and reviewed strings on Transifex?

Entering localization team this winter, I've installed QtLinguist and edited translation, then built a local copy, worked fine with my Otter. But when I tried to upload my translation to Transifex, I got too many errors and postponed my contribution because of it.

Here's WatsonRus's comment where he urges people to make use of his translation, as he himself will (may) pick up Otter only after userscripts are included http://operafan.net/forum/index.php?topic=20697.msg208968#msg208968 and an update to that post http://operafan.net/forum/index.php?topic=20697.msg209543#msg209543

And here's a comment by Foton about the translation procedure http://operafan.net/forum/index.php?topic=20697.msg208959#msg208959

I personally contribute to translations, but I have no knowledge of or comment on the pocedures that Emdek engages in.

@Freeman, this article by ersi might be useful too:

There is no specific rule for synchronization, although they are always integrated into repository just before bigger releases (expected date of new release is usually available in milestones section on github) and usually several days after bigger changes in source strings.

Transifex supports several roles:
