Title: Ad-blocking in Otter
Post by: gracious1 on 2017-08-14, 02:56:38
I am a brand new otter user, just downloaded and installed otter on Ubuntu 14.04.

I would like to know to block ads in Otter. In my other browsers (Pale Moon, SeaMonkey, Firefox), I have installed uBlock Origin. But this doesn't seem to be an option for Otter. Other adblockers like Adblock Plus, Adblock Latitude, etc. don't seem to work, either. (In fact, I am not sure where I can find any extensions for Otter.)

Any help would be appreciated. I would love to use this blazingly fast browser, but I am overwhelmed with advertising.  :yuck:

Thanks! :D

@gracious1, Tools -> Content Blocking…, just enable whatever lists do you need and save changes.

You know, I did that. The segmentation faults that I reported in another thread started happening after I did that.

@gracious1, interesting, BTW, you should mention that. ;-)

For now you can rename ~/.config/otter/otter.conf and wait for solution.
