Seems to be some sort of glitch, it's placeholder for percent value:

Are you seeing this all the time or only while starting loading?

All the time, with no percentage digits.

@Freeman, are you using some sort of custom Qt style?
I haven't seen such issue with standard one.

@Freeman, I've tried it under Linux, just loading translation file, not reproducible here.

@Freeman, I've recently seen something similar in Fusion style.
I have idea how to workaround it, since it seems to happen only when progress is set to 0% we could simply use format with hardcoded value, I'll experiment with that approach.
