@py-thon, while I have no idea why there was clash in the first place then Google Earth definitely should be able to cleanup own lock file when it gets damaged...

@exley, confirmed and fixed.

@fernandel, it seems that you are using default session, then it appears to be some kind of issue with restoring window state and geometry.

I rebuilt Otter with QT 5.4.1 and ALL problems exsist. Nothing different.

For the last three versions I'm facing NSL (Never Stops Loading)  problem on my google home page whenever I search from google home page or address bar (same search engine). Clicking on Cancel button does not have any effect and Cancel button does not turn into Refresh button.

I am finding for the last few builds (currently 62) that the reload button on some pages is greyed out and I have to use F5 to refresh the page.

you should remember/write down those pages links
could be internal JS problem that kills it

I can't save this image, Otter is always crashing when I try to save:

It works for me, so I'm guessing it's a Windows-only issue. Other images work fine? However, it did cause me to notice that the Save/Ctrl+S dialog is disabled even when you're viewing an image. In that case it should really be equivalent to right click → save image.

It's a long standing issue:

BTW Developers, Otter preference, settings, history are still saved on drive other than the drive where profile is created when extracted, unlike Opera Blink. I reported this issue at least 3 versions before...

Did anybody try this on XP?
No problem with Opera.
And then... something happened.

At least I've found reason for that black element over images, apparently QtWebKit doesn't like IMG inside of #discourage-theft.

@anikul, could you please post URL?
It's most likely related to this change:
https://github.com/OtterBrowser/otter-browser/commit/65ef1a84ca6912146bbb3819d4ec837db230c10e
I could experiment with determining if page is still loading by checking if there are any active network requests for specified tab instead of depending only on signals emitted by QtWebKit, as they seem to be unreliable...

@djgl, yeah, I've seen this few times.
There were some changes that could affect it, let me know if it will happen again with next weekly.

@denes, see:
https://github.com/OtterBrowser/otter-browser/issues/701

I reported this issue at least 3 versions before...

Please post direct link to that post, that topic become quite large already...

Thanks - will keep a look out for it in next, but it is not a consistent error.

some cypher crap security risks
to me they don't mean crap, but some people might bitch about it

if you go to: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/viewMyClient.html
at the bottom there are these that are tagged as "weak"

Quote

TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA
TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA
TLS_ECDH_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA
TLS_ECDH_ECDSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA
TLS_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA
TLS_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_MD5

and something called "OCSP stapling" also is tagged red/weak

Re the reload icon greying out - so far in  #63 it seems to be behaving itself.

Thanks for curing the problem

heres another annoyance on windows version
Otter for some reason ignores HOSTS file, thus all ads are being spawned
while other browsers, at least non QT based, do use it

Re: bugs

@anikul, thanks.
Cannot reproduce, at least not using 32 bit Windows.

@exley, by default we are using set recommended by Qt, you can disable selected ciphers in Preferences -> Advanced -> Security.
In case of that hosts file it would be best if there would be some test case, so it could be tested and reported upstream.

OnDemand (I just imported opera bookmarks. Rest is pretty much default.)

Youtube is working though. It has the same "Playsymbol" but you can click it. Not possible with vimeo.

Re: bugs

@keen, vimeo uses more complex player than others, the best way is to simply Enable plugins globally or just for vimeo.com in Website Preferences.
