In some areas, women aren't hired because they get pregnant.
In others, they are hired because they are pretty.
Strengths and weaknesses...
But usually, people are hired because they can do the job.

I don't know why Rjhowie is so hungry with women presenting the news.

We had a channel,  SIC Radical, that had a fantastic news program.
Joking with the word for news witch is notícias in Portuguese, they called the program Nutícias (from the word nu, nude).
The lady was performing a fantastic strip-tease while presenting the news with a serious tone, never laughing.

Superb, that's what I consider public interest.
A matter of attitude.

I think that what they are doing with women now is ridiculous and out of things here. I indeed made it plain that often after the national tv news led by a woman when they then say your regional news now coming on it is led by a woman and the subsidiaries and weather forecaster all female. It is not just a case of balance but damn over the top. Some might of course be okay but there are those who are  groan with their voices and their position is going over any sense of balance and included sports news. You lot who want to nip me are part of modernity you would no doubt claim but not balaced at all just brained.
