Title: Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right shouldn't navigate back and forward when in form field
Post by: fatal on 2018-04-09, 20:47:31
This behavior is very annoing: when you editing text in textarea or any other input field some people using Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right shortcuts no jump between words. Currently in Otter (0.9.97 RC 7) such shortcuts unexpectidly navigate user away from a page with form. Good thing that all entered data is saved and you can navigate back and continue entering data.

I've taken to mostly composing text outside of browsers because I don't consider any of them particularly trustworthy with text (even with my own UserJS (https://github.com/Frenzie/textarea-backup))[1] so I hadn't noticed. That's awkward indeed. :)
Websites sometimes also try their hardest to get rid of data.
