Re: lga1155 overclockable processor Reply #3 – 2016-08-12, 05:23:01 Good enough for what? If you are gaming the latest games, then their very idea is to make the best hardware bleed and only the latest and greatest hardware can take it. If you cannot afford it, stay with checkers. I do.
Re: lga1155 overclockable processor Reply #4 – 2016-08-12, 07:19:21 Indeed, the question is good enough for what. Quote from: ersi on 2016-08-12, 05:23:01If you are gaming the latest games, then their very idea is to make the best hardware bleedNah, the vast majority of games worth playing will work just fine on older/weaker hardware. On top of that, for most of the more demanding games GPU is much more important and most post-2010 CPUs will do provided they're coupled with a post-2012 mid to high range CPU.
Re: lga1155 overclockable processor Reply #5 – 2016-08-12, 11:16:19 i use that to render 3d object. gaming aint use 60% of my current cpu. rendering with vray using 99% of cpu
Re: lga1155 overclockable processor Reply #6 – 2016-08-12, 11:20:01 Isn't 3D rendering software generally supposed to be able to take advantage of GPUs? Anyhow, an FX-6300 would help a lot if the rendering can be spread out over multiple cores (I mean, 6 vs 2…); much less if it's more about single-core performance. Are there maybe benchmarks out there with whatever software you use? Anything recommended by the developers?
