If you install a specific version of Qt Creator I figure it should be easy enough to compile your own. Would you happen to know when it was still working?

@exley, the oldest QtWebKit you can use is from Qt 5.1 (it may work with that from 5.0, but that configuration wasn't tested), although it will still require Qt 5.2.
It's possible thanks to odd mixture of libraries provided by default by Canonical in current version of Ubuntu...

There's another browser project based on Qt - Dooble (http://dooble.sourceforge.net/)

Its most recent update consists in updating Qt to v.5.3.2.

It doesn't have any fexibility in the interface, so there's nothing to learn or borrow in this aspect, but there are some interesting security options that can be inspiring, when development of Otter gets to security options.

Dooble doesn't worth to try.

I haven't even tried Dooble. Its interface isn't worth it.

@exley, according to comments in bug tracker flash issues might be gone with upcoming Qt 5.4.0 (should be available in early December).

Weekly #50 builds for Windows (at least 32 bit) will be based on Qt 5.4.0, although one important issue specific to Windows wasn't resolved yet:
https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-43024
Hopefully they will fix it soon.
