Title: Secure connection to Sourceforge?
Post by: Rolf on 2015-02-18, 10:33:58
Today, when I followed the link " Experimental binaries" ( https://sourceforge.net/projects/otter-browser/files/ )  from the Otter web page ( http://otter-browser.org/ ) Firefox complained.
"This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to sourceforge.net, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure."
"sourceforge.net uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following names: cloudfront.net , *.cloudfront.net (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)"

It hasn't done so before.

Does anybody else get this result?

thanks/Rolf

This is what I get

Quote

The sourceforge.net website is temporarily in static offline mode.
Only a very limited set of project pages are available until the main website returns to service.

And it's far from the first time.

@Rolf, sf.net has technical difficulties recently.
Sometimes they redirect all traffic to static HTML page, which sometimes results in errors / warnings (as they are redirecting from https to http).

@ Emdek and ersi:
Thank you for the information! Now I can relax, wait and hope. :-)
