Title: Weekly 50, all seems ok
Post by: jasonliul on 2014-11-26, 07:40:10
Week 30 build save cookies correctly, but beta2 can't any more, every time i need login in again.
Does this coz qt 5.31/5.32?

Though, old build's profile can be used by new build.
Win7 x64, otter x86 build.

Do you have EnableCookies true or false? I found that when you go around the web, log in to places, and then at some point set EnableCookies to false, it disables cookie function entirely. Old cookies won't remain functional.

I hope this will be fixed. In every other browser I know I am able to go around the web, log in to places, collect the cookies I need, then switch cookies off and still remain logged in with the earlier cookies.

@jasonliul, do you have that issue on some specific page or everywhere?

Every.
When i switch back weekly30, all good,
the newer build also can use it.

i've tested twice with some build at the same time. Confirm the bug between weekly30 & beta2.
Win7 x64, otter portable.

Add: Not only cookie, maybe all setup, such as change forum's pattern, or switch wide/narrow...

@jasonliul, are you using 32 or 64 bit build?
Maybe try the other one and try to reproduce.

If you are using --portable then you should have file cookies.dat in profile directory, is it there?

@jasonliul, maybe that file doesn't have  permissions to be written?

This time just strange, weekly 30 can't work well as before, such as ru-board,
So i downloaded Alpha1, it can finish all works, but some forum need twice login.

A french boy Bastien made a Arora's folks web browser before, called BlueLightCat. It can't update to QT5, so stopped.

i'm his main supporter, if QT updated, even a small version number, use the SAME source code it still cause some bugs, specially cookies, change profiles.

It can't write profile at first, even i "Run as administrator".

i can't believe this.

@jasonliul, I'll  try to run some tests before next weekly (it will use Qt 5.4.0, at least 32 bit build).

@jasonliul, it's odd, there were no changes on our side in code paths that could affect cookies...

Mostly caused by QT, i guess, other QT browsers has the same issue.
Windows just stupid OS.
