I see that there is unfortunately no dedicated option that represents Opera's "Click on tab to minimize" which allowed to quickly switch between two tabs back and forth.
What I found though is the ability to assign mouse gesture for "Tab Handle of Active Tab" but it seems doesn't work. I did this:
Preferences > Advanced > Mouse (mouse gestures enabled) > Default >Edit > Actions > Tab Handle of Active Tab ("Go to Previously Used Tab", "pressLeft").
Would be nice if this issue was addressed before release.
P.S. Hello everyone from former Opera Forums user and Elektran ;)
Hello
@fatal! It does seem to work if you use
pressLeft, releaseLeft. ;)
(But wouldn't minimize be
Minimize tab?)
@fatal, I've made a change that should improve that behavior (MinimizeTabAction), it will be available in upcoming weekly.
@Frenzie, thanks, pressLeft, releaseLeft seems to work fine.
@Emdek, MinimizeTabAction -- I think tab switching should be ON by default -- so useful. Many people just overlooked this feature in Opera days, because it was presented as unclear "Click on tab to minimize" (just kept from true MDI days) instead "Click on tab switches to previously used tab".
Seems I said it works fine too soon :)
After I close tab (in screenshot it was 3rd tab) my 2nd tab disappeared, then if I clicked on invisible 2nd tab and it appeared under 1st one.

@fatal, huh, missing tab handle? That looks like some visual glitch.
