/me is compiling the new version
Are proxies working with this build? I've set a proxy in manual mode, but Otter ignored this setting.
@Freeman, there is known issue where proxies for HTTPS could be ignored, I'm not aware of anything else.
problem of Otter 0.9.91 weekly 163
cannot change all fonts! ???
@kanakomoerer, well, it broke. ;-)
But the good news is that it was already fixed for next weekly.
HTML5 player
I can watch youtube.com by otter-browser, but I can't watch http://www.bilibili.com/ by otter-browser.
I can watch both websites by firefox.
Please try

@wutian2016, are you sure that it's HTML5 video?
I only see flash player there.
I don't install adobe flash player.
@wutian2016, I've tried it on Windows 10 and video plays fine there (HTML5), my guess is that MF on Windows 7 is missing something required to play their videos.
On this list I see only one item added after Windows 7, perhaps it's incomplete:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd757927(v=vs.85).aspx
You can try -xp version too, it uses previous multimedia backend that depends on codecs installed by user.
My system is windows 7.
Thanks for your hard working.
It's been some time since I last used Otter on Windows, and recently I've upgraded to the latest (weekly #165). It looks and works much better nowadays. Thanks for the great job you've been doing.
@beastie, engine side improvements should be credited to annulen and vitallium. ;-)
Yes, I've seen annulen's WebKit contributions on GitHub. Very well then, thanks to annulen and vitallium too. :D
@beastie, BTW, what is the current status of revived QtWebKit on FreeBSD, is someone working on port?
I think that I've seen some patches somewhere...
I haven't seen anything related to it on the forums or mailing lists. :/
@beastie, it would be a good idea to bring that topic, since it's a serious upgrade over legacy version, but note that some stuff is still missing (private mode is easy to work around):
https://github.com/annulen/webkit/wiki/Comparison-with-QtWebKit-5.6
It's not ready yet to be full drop-in replacement for all use cases but should be pretty soon.
I've seen some work in progress here:
https://area51.pcbsd.org/branches/plasma5/PORTS/www/qt5-webkit-annulen/
Ah, good find! I check the Area 51 from time to time but must have missed that one.
As to the question of "when", the usual reply is "when it's ready" hehe. FreeBSD developers and port maintainers are on the conservative side, so ports that big usually stay in the pipeline for weeks and sometimes months before being approved (as has been the case for the latest Qt port with WebEngine support).
Of course one can always use experimental port trees, but things are not guaranteed to work well or at all.
@beastie, sure, but this is also security update. ;-)
So once it will be feature complete replacement then I would recommend to replace it ASAP, so it could be a good idea if they would at least take a look now (since revived QtWebKit is really very close to fill missing gaps now).
May I use this addons?

Thanks
@wutian2016, not yet, right now only User Scripts are supported.
I'm not sure if such tool is doable as User Script, but you can always ask authors.
Thanks for Emdek's answer and help.
Have a good day!
firefox is more faster than otter-browser(win 7 64bit),
I don't insall adobe flash player in my system.
for example.com
www.cnmo.com
@wutian2016, you can try QtWebEngine build too, these are located in experimental (https://sourceforge.net/projects/otter-browser/files/otter-browser-beta12/experimental/) folder, these are based on Blink engine (used by Chrome).
But note that these have some issues.
Thanks for Emdek's help!
Have a good day!
