Go To Page dialog (on F2) doesn't respect unchecked "Reuse current tab" setting, as in Opera 12. Is it a bug?

@Freeman, it's intentional, but you can use modifiers there to force different behavior, at least it was supposed to work that way, there seems to be a regression after fixing another issue.

Google's search for pictures partially does not work, the camera icon in the search field is missing: http://www.google.com/imghp
I suppose Google changed something because I had used it before with either Opera or Otter; now neither works. With Iceweasel the icon is still there and working.

@py-thon, try different user agent, there is also slight change that it was some issue with content blocking (one fix just went in).

Thanks. Making Google believe that Otter on Linux is Google Chrome on Windows works fine.
Slightly off-topic: Currently I can't log into the forum with Opera anymore. Any changes in the forum's software?

Must have been one of the mysteries of computer technology :rolleyes:
Yesterday I tried several times both with wand and typing everything on the keyboard and it didn't work either way. Today there is no problem.

I'm starting to become broken record, but again multi files upload doesn't work

another bug, speed dial constantly reloads thumbnails/previews thus slowing down starting of browser itself

@exley, yeah, that multi upload issue is already known.
It reloads existing thumbnails or fails to generate some of them and then tries again?

it happens only when I open Otter for 1st time, not when i do new tab
(no matter how many times per day i open it, its always when "ran")
it fails to make thumbnails and loads them and does nothing then

@exley, do you have any files in this folder in user directory (it might differ a bit)?

@exley, then it must be the known issue where for some unknown reasons it fails in some cases.
For now you can avoid that by adding files with names taken from bookmarks.xbel, the id attribute of bookmark shown on Start Page.

Just one more question, does it fail to generate them (so thumbnails are shown) or just to save them?

both is problem :)

i have 3 in speed dial
only 1 is generated and saved on HDD
other 2 are "loading" but always white, and those are not saved/created on disk at all

new issues

1. red scrollbar
2. editing default keyboard settings have no impact on browser
3. engine is SLOW in loading web content
4. going with mouse over random web-elements show random errors, like dissapearing of
images or half broken images, or overlaping elements

heres example (my user name is sprayed out, everything else is REAL)



seems to me this new layout-engine is totally broken
I'm gonna revert to #78 till this gets fixed

@exley, simply use standard package (without -qtwebengine in name) or change backend back to QtWebKit in about:config.

One minor bug in dev80 or its German translation:
For startup behaviour there are two almost identical possibilites "Startseite anzeigen" and "show Start page" which both means the same. But they don't cause the same. "Startseite anzeigen" leads to a blank page unless you set a start page. "show Start page" leads to the speed dial even if you have set a start page.
Opera's "Mit der Schnellwahl starten" (Start with speed dial) is missing.

I think that there will be no thing called "speed dial". It will be called "start page". Consequently, the other thing should be called maybe "home page".

@py-thon, apparently translation needs updating.
In English these options are:

Continue session
Begin with home page
Begin with start page
Begin with blank page

As noted by ersi, in our nomenclature Speed Dial is called Start Page.

Ok, I didn't know that and it is somewhat confusing.
So "Begin with home page" makes Otter start with a default web page and "Begin with start page" shows a local page displaying the speed dial? I hope the German translation will stick to the naming used for ages and call them "Startseite" and "Schnellwahl".
