another bug that I noticed existed in 67 and is still in 70 in tools->preferences->web page language-> I add American - English, then hit ADD button, it appears on the list then OK, then Apply, go back to same settings and its gone webpages again milk your locale
there is also new bug regarding infamous facebook when you enter someone's picture, Otter doesn't react when you click on button for "full screen picture"
dunno that would require some hard debugging since not all have that issue I just tried again and same result, goes from 30% - 50% max and I have old AMD 5050e DC CPU, so not new machine at all
wow otter really got more annoying now not only of issue i wrote above that was actually fixed few builds in past but now when you go on forums to register or login where it requires to write your e-mail whenever I need to write .com, the "dot" invokes highlight popup box and I can't write damn "."
same goes for keyboard assign letters/shortcuts "9" seems to zoom out by default, if i press 9 it will zoom out but won't enter character in passw box - ok after a shitstorm of problems (backspace also causes huge problems) I'm reverting to #67
I know many frown upon mentioning stupid facebook ... I do too but its not always in bad purpose used
Otter doesn't update private messaging system at all dunno if this is qtwebkit issue or app itself user simply has to either refresh the page or click on any other link to get msg's updated
dunno if this is bug or not but take example of zoom feature and new tab Tab 1: zoom 125%, if i click on new link with mouse wheel to open in new Tab Tab 2 will carry on the zoom value of Tab 1, and won't revert to original value
small request by me would be nice that somewhere on either right or left side of zoom control at the bottom shows on what zoom number it is on, as hovering over thingy is bit annoying especially if you use hotkeys to do this zoom in/out
heres another annoyance on windows version Otter for some reason ignores HOSTS file, thus all ads are being spawned while other browsers, at least non QT based, do use it
emdek, i'll send you PM about something also there is small annoying bug, dunno if its reported anywhere
if you copy a link address from another browser or some text editor ... don't matter when you open Otter for 1st time, and do rclick on addr-bar the option "paste & go" is enabled but if you open new tab, or do rclick over existing address in already opened tab the option is disabled, you can only "paste" BUT if you close Otter, and open it again (empty), the "paste & go" option is again Enabled
for MEGA, it might be some sort of issue but internally, example:
Otter: a 190 MB file for download, ate 360 MB RAM at 100% CPU usage, crashed Pale Moon: same file, ate over 450 MB RAM at 5% CPU usage, doesn't crash, downloads ok ---- as for test file, i renamed it to .exe, ran youtube video, same story any click on plugin control just acts as click on plugin, thus pausing video still unusable
if you don't care about what is happening to your machine then use crappy chrome or any of its clones they all accept plugins that makes YOUR user experience opera-like
heck its a browser, it works, so use it... allow me to *facepalm*
want a snoobish attitude ? here's one, I've been using Opera since v5, altho v7 grew best on me back in the days also with attitude of yours alike, no wonder all software is going for unoptimized pile of garbage system
so much easier to buy gaming rig just to be able to surf the freaking internet now allow me to *facepalm* again
well I must play ignorance on this one, as I don't know how to "apply" this file as it is just "file", no extension, yet when I added .exe to it it launches some console that cannot be inputed nothing into, so i removed it, extracted back ordinary "test file" ran Otter and inputed a youtube clip address and it still has same symptoms
no control within flash plugin is clickable/controlable, all Otter does is consider a click as click onto plugin thus pausing the video
