So any ETA on when the Linux builds will switch to blink?

Well, Qt 5.6 ought to help. :P

@bluedragon77, "transition" is wrong term in this case, so far both backends are available.
While QtWebKit has its own issues and recently dot deprecated by Digia, it still offers much greater control than QtWebEngine (although this one has some features not available in QtWebKit, like full screen support, user scripts etc.).
Also some third party developers are now working on updating QtWebKit against new versions of WebKit etc.
And one final issue, we require newest QtWebEngine available, and some distributions don't even package it yet. :-/

Right now I'm only considering bumping minimum required Qt version to 5.4 (it would be best to do that after release of new LTS version of Ubuntu, planned for end of April, but might be applied earlier due to issues with broken setup provided by Trusty).
